Main Street Melfort is inviting everyone to come out and eat, play, and shop on the evening of Thursday September 3rd.
The event will incorporate live entertainment by band Mostly Wanted, a barbecue, and refreshment area, all encompassed within Memorial Garden on Main Street. Main Street will be blocked off from Burrows Avenue, north towards Crawford to also allow for access to a climbing wall, vendors and home based businesses, as well as interactive chalk art.
“We’re excited to be hosting yet another unique event on behalf of Main Street Melfort, and expanding on the previous success that we saw with the concert and barbeque event that was hosted back in June. It’s important that residents see the potential that the Main Street zone holds, and we are looking forward to seeing many residents on Thursday evening,” Kirby Hardwick, Main Street Melfort Program Coordinator said.
“Thursday represents another opportunity to get together downtown to enjoy a Main Street event,” President Donna Ponath said. “Our team has put together a night to eat, play, and shop, encompassing everything from music, to a market, to food. What a great way to kick off another school year and celebrate summer in Melfort,” Ponath added.
Those planning on attending are invited to bring blankets and/or lawnchairs, and be prepared to stay awhile and have some fun.
The event kicks off at 4:30 pm on Thursday.
Anyone interested in volunteering or registering as a vendor is welcome to call the Main Street Melfort office at (306) 752-7908.
